Our Trainer - Fergal O'Brien

Fergal doesn't really need an introduction as one of the country's leading racehorse trainers. He hails originally from Limerick but has made the Cotswolds his home, training from his base at Ravenswell in Withington. He has established a reputation as a trainer of winners surpassing over 100 in a single season, along with success at the highest level.

Fergal's yard is famous for hosting owners who are welcomed openly and regularly and most importantly, always make you feel part of the whole racing journey.

Our Village Racehorse could not be in better hands!

Andre Klein

Andre Klein is the Assistant General Manager at Cheltenham Racecourse, where he oversees 101 different things.

He grew up near Lambourn, has loved racing all his life and not missed a Festival since 1989 despite the fact he spent 17 years working in horse racing in Australia and New Zealand, where he ran racecourses and syndicated lots of winners!

He now has his dream job and lives in his dream village, North Cerney.

He has a huge obsession with the Gold Cup.

Alex Bray

Alex lives in Calmsden but has spent hours on the road commuting to racecourses all around the South-West of England and beyond, as an integral member of the Arena Racing Marketing Team.

He's picked up awards for his great contributions to charity including the Jump Jockeys Derby at Chepstow.

Like all of our team members, he loves the sport of horse racing and wants to encourage more people to enjoy it as well!

Lucy Jackson

Lucy's family is steeped in horse racing and she proudly retains her grandfather's silks from the 1940s.

She is the backbone of Cheltenham Racecourse's community engagement strategy, runs the Racing Club, the Business Club, the Gift Shop and picks up BAFTA Awards for being the star of the Gold Cup centenary campaign.

She will be living in Withington not far from Fergal's yard so will be there to check in on our Village Racehorse every morning and evening!

Lucia De La Fuente

Lucia hails from Northern Spain where she claimed horse racing didn't exist until she was told one glorious day about the racecourses at San Sebastian and Madrid.

After the great discovery she opened a betting account and never looked back.

She spent two years at The Jockey Club heading up Conference and Event Sales, and would sell ice to eskimos.

She is now living in North Cerney.
